Save Money on Your Car Insurance

App Review

Okay, quick survey. Raise your hand if you would like to save money on car insurance. Get ‘em up. One, two…okay it looks like everybody is sick of paying an arm and a leg on their car insurance. Well then we have got just the thing for you. Metromile is a pay-per-mile car insurance producer that helps you save money based on the amount you drive.

Metromile is the easiest way to save money on your car insurance. By simply attaching a plug-in to your car’s OBD-II port, Metromile can track how much you are driving and bill you accordingly. What is amazing is customers typically save an average of $500 a year using this system. Seriously, think about what you could be doing with all that extra cash. Metromile is a great and cheaper alternative to traditional car insurance. It is especially great if you are someone who does not really rack up many miles on their car as much as someone living in a more rural area might. Metromile also comes with an accompanying app that allows you to check and monitor things like how your speed varies on a trip, how much you spend on gas, how long your drive takes, and where you parked your car. What’s more is you can even check in with a mechanic with questions if something like your check engine light comes on. Pretty cool, right? Currently Metromile is available in seven states: Oregon, Washington, California, Illinois, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Are you ready to start saving money on car insurance and feeling more protected? The free app is compatible with iOS and Android devices. Go check out metromile.com/insurance for more information and to sign up today.

Last night, I purchased a brand new car! I am now the super-proud owner of a 2014 Acura ILX. I love my new car because it’s sleek, drives smooth, and it’s loaded with a ton of great features.

Acura ILX

Before I bought the car, I definitely made sure that I did my homework. So, naturally, I went on the internet and searched through dozens of different forums and posts. The forums weren’t all that great for my search because they were filled with spam, irrelevant content, and they were just a convoluted mess. So I extended my search further and came across Garagesocial, which is an online community for everything cars.

Garagesocial

Garagesocial is a place to discuss any type of vehicle, from ATVs to helicopters to boats. It’s a hub for people who are actually interested and knowledgeable about vehicles, where they can share and discuss them. The site allows car enthusiasts to share their own vehicles on the site, and create a virtual garage with their vehicles and vehicles that they wish they had.

I learned a lot about my Acura on this site, and I’m sure you could too. Click here to learn more about Garagesocial.

In 2001, The Fast and the Furious was released at the box office. People went crazy over the late Paul Walker and his drag racing adventures, and many versions of The Fast and the Furious has been adapted since the original.

Many of you love watching drag racing on the big screen, but only a few of you would actually race in the streets…

Because who really needs another speeding ticket?

Real Road Racer App

Since many of you would like watching the action from the comfort of your home, the Real Road Racer might be the app for you. The Real Road Racer allows you to rev your engine and race on real streets via Google Maps. You can either create your own route, or race on one of the 50 races that are actual locations for competitions. The Real Road Racer is the best way to put the peddle to the metal, without endangering yourself, others, or your insurance rate.

I was browsing Reddit the other day and there was an article about smog-sucking-drones in China. I clicked the link and read all about China’s efforts to help the environment. I’m not sure if drones are the way to go, but there definitely should be a greater effort to help the environment.

I haven’t seen any smog-sucking-drones in the U.S., but I have seen the ChargePoint car charging stations. ChargePoint is the largest network of car charging stations in the nation. You can find them anywhere, from outside college campuses to outside large retailers. With over 16,000 stations, ChargePoint helps electric car owners by having a free app so you can pinpoint where a free station is and how much charge is in the car. These car charging stations are helping the environment, one station at a time. If you want to learn more or do you part to help, head to ChargePoint.com.

OK. I’m so jealous. Our host, Andrew Tropeano, went to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Watch as he explores Barcelona and checks out Mercedes’ AMG.
