Olori – Providing You Quality Handbags and Giving Back to Girls in Need

Consumer Update

When it comes to receiving a proper education, it’s never something that should be underestimated or taken for granted. Currently, there are an estimated 31 million young girls in the world who don’t have access to education and 17 million of those girls live in Africa.

Olori has made it their mission to do something about this. They provide quality handbags, each one hand-crafted in Africa. And for every bag sold, it provides tuition fees for an underprivileged girl in a developing area.

Essentially, Olori is making the bag a symbol of hope for someone in need of a better life.

Olori handbags incorporate conventional luxury textiles sourced from women-owned businesses and where each is carefully crafted by hand.

Olori looks to build a network of powerful women who are dedicated to uplifting one another. And by creating this bond of sisterhood, it gave inspiration to naming their brand Olori which means “Queen” in the Yoruba language. This name symbolizes every girl’s inherent worth and power.

Olori provides regal, timeless products, with incredible functionality and just the right amount of elegance. And from sourcing the materials to hand-crafting the final product all the way to delivery, Olori vows to keep doing their part to lend a helping hand.

Flyshionista – Fashion Hunters on the Prowl for Brands Not Sold Near You

AppWatch

Despite popular belief, there are still some things that you’re unable to purchase on Amazon, especially when it comes to foreign fashion brands.

What’s a decent solution to this problem? An app called Fashionista has got it figured out.

The founders of this app are world travelers who kept receiving requests from friends and family to bring back fashion souvenirs from around the world.

Realizing that this was a need not being filled, Flyshionista was created in order to break geographical and fashion boundaries. Buyers, also known as Hunters, can peruse the app for unique items from any place across the globe or even brands that aren’t sold in their country.

Flyshionista connects style hunters and travelers all over the world, lets you purchase and receive items from anywhere, and lets you earn money delivering style items on your travels.

Well, we don’t know about you, but nothing is more exciting than shopping the latest trends across borders! Let the feelings of concerns be assuaged when you don’t find yourself struggling to own rare, limited edition, items. There’s always a Flyshionista agent ready to shop for you: wherever you are. In addition, you’ll get what you want, hassle-free.

Payments are made directly through the app and aren’t processed until the buyer receives and approves the item.

And did you know that you can even earn money through Flyshionista by becoming an agent? After browsing items that Hunters are looking to buy, you can bid on the task. Deliver style wherever you fly by sharing travel plans. Essentially, a Flyshionista Hunter is looking for you: just lend luggage space and start making money!

To start using this unique app today head over to the App or Google Play Store and search for “Flyshionista.”

Google and Levi’s Bring Technology to the Fashion World

When we hear “wearables” in relation to technology, we think of smartwatches and fitness trackers, not so much clothing. But it has finally happened – technology is crossing paths with fashion and truly redefining what a wearable is. Late last month at Google I/O 2016, Google announced its partnership with Levi’s to create a revolutionary “smart” denim jacket.

At first glance, the “Levi’s Commuter x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket” just looks like a normal denim jacket. But obviously appearances can be deceiving. Although it has a simple outer appearance, this jacket is anything but. The jacket has conductive fabric woven into it, creating the first piece of clothing made out of technology. It senses touch and pressure, and can even sense your hand’s position before you touch the fabric.

Wondering why someone would need a smart jacket? Well, when Google and Levi’s designed this jacket, they had bikers in mind. The jacket allows wearers to skip songs, change the volume on their music, answer or decline calls, and get directions, all through different gestures that are simple swipes and taps.

You might think this jacket sounds kind of impractical or a nightmare to wash with all the technology in it. It’s really not. Special yarn is woven within the jacket, this yarn links up to a sensor in the cuff of the jacket. You can easily remove the sensor from the jacket and charge it with a USB plugin. When you remove the sensor, you can wash this jacket just like you would any other piece of clothing.

Right now we’re expecting this jacket to be launched in spring 2017. No details about pricing have been released yet. We’re wondering what other pieces of clothing this technology will be put in.

If you’re a guy, I’m sure it get’s really annoying to always have to carry around your phone and tablet. It’s not like you have a purse to carry around. I know that some guys carry those items in briefcases, but not every guy uses a briefcase.

The Tech Slinger is a holster, similar to a gun holster, that holds a tablet and phone. The Tech slinger goes on under your clothes, so no one would ever know that you’re wearing one. And surprisingly, the slinger is so adjustable that it hugs right to your body so your silhouette will remain the same. If you want to rule the world, hands free, head to techslinger.com.
