Though there are plenty of options to eat right and live a healthy lifestyle, making the change and sticking to it can be difficult at times. Most of the time, when you jump into a drastic diet that changes everything you can and can’t eat it’s difficult to keep up with and other times just taking one or two things out of your diet can be hard to keep up with.

The best way to be successful in a diet is to make changes at your own pace and create a plan that you know you can do. In my own experience, I’ve only been able to keep up with a diet when I take certain foods out of my daily diet one at a time based on my own self-control.

Since all of your life is on your phone anyway, why not keep a daily record of your diet on an app that’s easy to use? Foodtweeks is essential for anyone who wants to keep a food dairy that tracks calories specifically based on what you eat.

Foodtweeks gives the dieter the ability to only track specifically what they eat. The app allows you to record your meals only tracking the ingredients you put in the meal and no extras. The app also allows the user to give back. When you record a meal, the ingredients that you don’t use will be donated to charity through the app. Help yourself and others!

Edamam Healthy Eating Recipes

I talk a lot about how busy I am. But,  I really do feel like I’m the busiest girl in the world. My busy life style and schedule really affects how I eat, especially when it comes to eating healthy.

I usually just grab stuff to eat that’s on-the-go. I’ve definitely munched on my fair share of Pop tarts, sad but true.

Thankfully, we came across Edamam, which is a great tool for healthy eating. Edamam is a website where you can find healthy recipes from all around the web. Once you go to the site, you can input how many calories you want to eat, what kind of diet you’re on, and if you have any allergies.

When I first browsed the site, I entered that I wanted a meal that’s between 200-400 calories, low in sodium, and that’s gluten free. It brought me to a Pinterest-esque page that had dozens of different recipes that fit my description. The selections had colorful pictures, the number of calories in the recipe, and how many ingredients are needed. I was really impressed with the site because it wasn’t just entrees in my search, there were also yummy cocktails, delicious appetizers, and mouth-watering deserts!

Once you’ve picked out your recipe, you should stick it into the Nutrition Wizard. This handy tool let’s you know everything about that meal, from the calories to protein to cholesterol and minerals.
